Torsion Free Subframe

In preparation for a job interview I was required to design a subframe which would be the interface between the truck and a camper module that would sit on the back. One of the requirements is that it could be adjusted to fit different variants of the Mercedes-Benz Unimog vehicles.
The design uses 4 unique components, 3 of these components are manufactured using the same c-channel profile but cut to different lengths(yellow, orange, red). The 4th piece (green) is a custom designed support hanger which provides additional support to the 2 parallel channels (yellow and red).
A quick stress analysis was carried out to determine the loads the design could withstand. The above photo shows a uniformly distributed 3000kg placed on the subframe, the design is able to withstand this with a safety factor of 1.7. The total mass of the design is 210kg for subframe and mounting, 135kg for subframe alone, and has an approximate material cost of around £400.
